Dr. Kimberly Silloway attended the University of Virginia as a scholar athlete. While in Charlottesville she was a resident of the Lawn and recipient of the William Gray academic scholarship.
After receiving her dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1993 she completed her four year surgical residency at the Medical College of Virginia in 1997. Academic interests during her residency led to research and publications in the areas of wound healing and general anesthesia. Currently she is the president of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. In addition she is the chairman of the VSOMS anesthesia committee responsible for the examination of oral and maxillofacial surgeons throughout the state for compliance of safety standards established by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in the administration of anesthesia.
Dr. Silloway is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Virginia Dental Association. She is currently the Vice-President of the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
